Allow me to introduce myself

I’m Tiago “tarsil” Silva—Python whisperer, Principal Software Engineer & Architect, and proud parent of Esmerald, Lilya, Edgy, Mongoz, Asyncz, plus a whole entourage of community-favorite tools.

Born under sunny skies in Portugal ☀️ and now braving (and brewing) life in the U.K. 🇬🇧, I’ve bounced around industries from financial services to security, building APIs and software that (mostly) don’t crash in production.

By day (and often by night), I helm Dymmond — a consultancy on a mission to sprinkle tech magic everywhere, whether it’s Data Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Cloud-Native, Blockchain… you name it, we geek out on it.

Esmerald started as a wild idea: 100% free, open-source, and fueled by community spirit. No paywalls, no corporate overlords—just pure Pythonic goodness, guaranteed to stay that way 😁.
